Rapper Kanye West and his former wife, Kim Kardashian, are in disagreement again, this time regarding a song purportedly featuring their daughter, North West. The dispute reached new heights when Kanye posted a new song called “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” on X (formerly Twitter), before Kim Kardashian tried to block its release via legal means. As reported by Page Six, Kanye was angered when Kardashian trademarked the name of their daughter, leading him to state that he was “never speaking with [her] again.”

Legal Battle and Mediation Attempts
Insiders from the couple made known that Kim had sent Kanye cease and desist letters and requested an emergency mediation, though Kanye failed to show up at the session. Even with the legal back-and-forth, Ye reportedly guaranteed Kim that he would not put out the song. Kim, determined to protect their daughter from the constant drama and legal wars, is worried that North’s name will be pulled into the mess. The feud is a sign of the couple’s constant tension and their differing styles of co-parenting and business.
