Kevin Hart finally set foot in India, his milestone contribution to the world of comedy. The US comedian and actor landed in Mumbai on Sunday, September 21, for his highly anticipated debut in India. His tour follows his stand-up special Acting My Age being postponed earlier this year in the wake of the senseless terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Having initially been booked to perform at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi on April 30, Hart is now catching up—and cracking up.
The 46-year-old comedian was spotted at Mumbai airport in a green hoodie in a clip on Instagram, looking cheerful and relaxed. Smiling for the cameras as he left the airport, Hart walked in with his crew, a few of whom were taking his momentous arrival on their mobile phones. It’s clear that both Hart and his crew were thrilled at his long-awaited entry into India.
Kevin Hart had performed at the NSCI Dome SVP Stadium in Worli, Mumbai, the same evening as part of his ninth stand-up tour, Acting My Age. The show, presented by District by Zomato, had the crowd in stitches as Hart gave an hour-long performance filled with personal experiences, witty observations, and his signature zest. He poked fun at the realities of being in his 40s, talked about his life with his family, and broached subjects like health, sex, the LGBTQIA+ community, and even a lighthearted feud with a popular American sports personality.
After his stunning Mumbai show, Hart will be taking his international tour to Australia. He will be performing in Perth on September 23, Melbourne on September 25, and Sydney on September 26. The international tour culminates in Columbus, Ohio, on October 18.
What’s Next for Kevin Hart?
Besides stand-up, Kevin Hart is building his comedic empire further. He was recently awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Comedy by the Kennedy Center, recognizing his significant impact on the world of humour. Next, he’ll be seen in the upcoming Netflix comedy 72 Hours, directed by Tim Story. The film follows a 40-year-old man who is accidentally added to a group chat and ends up crashing a wild bachelor party. The cast features Teyana Taylor, Zach Cherry, Ben Marshall, and Mason Gooding.
Hart has also partnered with Netflix to create a stand-up competition show, further solidifying his position as a leading force in comedy globally.
