The trailer of Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock, was released on April 1, 2026. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie and features actors like Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa in important roles.

The trailer begins with a conversation between Kara Zor El, also known as Supergirl, and Superman. He asks her when she plans to return and shows concern about her constantly staying away. He says, “I am worried you are not gonna find your people,” and she replies, “I have no people.”

The story shows that Kara has lost everything after her home planet was destroyed. She is left alone, and her only companion is Krypto, a super powered dog. As the trailer moves forward, Krypto gets seriously injured after being shot. Kara then goes on a mission to find a cure to save him.

During her journey, she faces a dangerous enemy named Krem of the Yellow Hills, played by Matthias Schoenaerts. She is joined by Ruthye Marye Knoll, played by Eve Ridley. Together, they also meet Lobo, a bounty hunter played by Jason Momoa. The group comes together to fight against enemies and try to save Krypto.

The official description of the film says, “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”

The film is based on the 2022 comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, written by Tom King and illustrated by Bilquis Evely. The story has been adapted for the screen by Ana Nogueira.
