Sadie Sink is reportedly going to add another big project to her rapidly growing slate following Stranger Things Season 5 and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Tony-nominated actress is reportedly set to star alongside Robert Downey Jr. and the impressive ensemble cast in Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday.
According to new reports, Sink is set to start filming on Avengers: Doomsday, which is due for release on December 18, 2026. The movie had been set for May 1, 2026, but was moved to the end of the year to guarantee a huge, year-end global release. Now, sources are saying the Stranger Things star – who portrays fan favourite Max Mayfield – has been officially confirmed for the superhero epic.
Producer James Bierman told Deadline that although the speculation surrounding Sink’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still unresolved, she is indeed on board for Avengers: Doomsday. “I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next Avengers picture that shoots here in London later in 2026,” he said, adding even more fuel to fan theories about her future in the MCU.
Principal photography on Avengers: Doomsday is set to start this summer of 2026, and excitement is building for its expansive lineup. Confirmed are MCU vets and iconic newcomers: Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, and Ian McKellen as Magneto. Returning favorites include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
Before entering the world of Avengers, this 23-year-old actress will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and is rumoured to play the roles of Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, or Mayday Parker. The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando.
At the same time, Sink is preparing for a significant theatrical turn as Juliet in Robert Icke’s adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, across from Noah Jupe.
