Garo Sero Research Institute has strengthened its accusations against South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, with new evidence that indicates he started dating actress Kim Sae Ron earlier than before. The YouTube channel, which initially broke the news of their relationship, posted intimate pictures on March 31, depicting the couple on a skiing holiday together in 2018. Sae Ron was then 18 years old.
The images depict the two dressed in skiing equipment and taking a Polaroid photo, one of which captures Sae Ron removing her mask as Soo Hyun left his on. There is another photo where Sae Ron is lying fast asleep on a bed, one that Garo Sero says is Kim Soo Hyun’s bed based on similar pillows found in other photos from his residence.

Kim Soo Hyun’s Public Denial
In reaction to the fresh revelations, Kim Soo Hyun, accompanied by his lawyers from LKB & Partners, also conducted a press conference on the same day, during which he spoke about the allegations of grooming. The 37-year-old actor confirmed being in a relationship with Sae Ron but firmly denied dating her when she was still a minor. He denied the allegations, declaring, “I never dated [Kim Sae Ron] when she was a minor.” Soo Hyun also denied accusations that his agency coerced Sae Ron over her debt, declaring that her untimely death was not connected to him or his agency. He complained about the allegations, declaring that the accusations were misleading and unfair.

Controversial Messages and Allegations
Earlier, Sae Ron’s family had shared screenshots of supposed private messages between Soo Hyun and their deceased daughter, claiming that they were evidence the two were dating when she was a minor. Soo Hyun still denies the allegations, claiming the accusations of grooming were false and made from misinterpreted evidence.
