Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried Face Off in Twisted Thriller The Housemaid – Trailer Out Now

Sydney Sweeney's Latest Thriller The Housemaid Will Keep You on the Edge of Your Seat!

Lionsgate Movies has dropped the gripping first trailer for The Housemaid, a psychological thriller headlined by Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. Directed by Paul Feig and written by Rebecca Sonnenshine, the film is an adaptation of Frieda McFadden’s best-selling 2022 novel of the same name.

A Dangerous Game Behind Closed Doors

The trailer introduces Millie (Sydney Sweeney), a young woman with a troubled past, who lands a job as a live-in maid for the wealthy and mysterious Winchester family. Hired by Nina Winchester (Amanda Seyfried), Millie claims she simply enjoys being a housemaid — but her desperation hints at something deeper. “I need this job. I can’t lose it. I do not want to go back,” she pleads in one chilling moment.

As Millie settles into her new role, the surface-level perfection of the Winchester household begins to crack. Nina’s erratic and volatile behavior sets off alarm bells, and it soon becomes clear that the family harbors disturbing secrets. What begins as a second chance for Millie spirals into a psychological maze of seduction, control, and manipulation.

Brandon Sklenar stars as Andrew Winchester, with Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins in supporting roles. The trailer, backed by Sabrina Carpenter’s hit track Please Please Please, amplifies the tense, suspense-filled tone of the narrative.
