Spider-Man fans can rejoice because Tom Holland is officially on set filming his next Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The extremely anticipated action movie is under the Phase 6 banner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is said to be set before the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
Glasgow Becomes New York City
The shoot has begun in Glasgow, Scotland, which has been beautifully disguised as New York City. Behind-the-scenes images have swamped social media, featuring Holland in his motion-capture suit on set. The streets are lined with NYC touches—yellow cabs, American flags, and police vehicles—to reflect the Manhattan look.
The filming had originally been set to occur in Liverpool, but in a gesture of respect for the tragic May 26 parade crash involving more than 100 injured victims, the studio decided to move production elsewhere. Glasgow is now anticipating potential road closures and heightened activity within the city center as the film shoot proceeds.

New Villains and Returning Favorites
The buzz was on when fans spotted the “Inner Demons” logo on a prop car—possibly referencing new villains that are connected to the Mister Negative comic storyline. A second set video captures an armored truck driving down the streets, fueling speculations about the action-packed scenes to follow.

Returning actors include Zendaya as MJ Jones-Watson and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. Spider-Man: Brand New Day also sees Jon Bernthal reprise his Punisher role and Liza Colón-Zayas in a yet-to-be-revealed role.
