Country music legend Dolly Parton has introduced her latest fashion collaboration with Good American. The new collection is called Dolly’s Joleans, a name inspired by her well known 1973 song Jolene. Along with the launch, new campaign photos have been released, showing Parton confidently presenting the outfits.
In several photos, she is seen wearing pieces from the collection, including a cropped Butterfly Top and Embroidered Good Waist Palazzo Jeans. She also styled a Slim Fit Denim Shirt as a light jacket over the outfit. In other images, she wore items like the Lace Up Poplin Tank and a bandana inspired Tailored Poplin Shirt, showing different looks from the same collection.
While talking about fashion in a promotional video, Dolly Parton shared her personal view on style. She said, “You need to wear what you feel good in. That is what I consider real style.”
She also spoke about her long experience with changing fashion trends. She said, “I’m old enough to have seen everything come and go … and I’ve worn a lot of it. You gotta have something denim, or you just ain’t with it.”
A statement on her official website explains the idea behind the collection. It says, “With this new Dolly’s Joleans collection, we took a little bit of my past and gave it new life for today. When someone puts these on, I want them to feel bold, beautiful, and completely themselves.”
At the same time, Dolly Parton has been dealing with some health issues recently. Because of this, she had to postpone her Las Vegas residency and also missed her 80th birthday celebration at the Grand Ole Opry in January.
Speaking about her health earlier, she said, “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” and she added humor by saying it was not her “usual trip to see [her] plastic surgeon.”
Despite these challenges, Dolly Parton continues to stay active in her work and connect with people through her music and fashion projects.
