Liam Hemsworth is officially engaged! The Hunger Games actor has moved to the next level in his relationship with longtime girlfriend Gabriella Brooks, confirming their engagement after over four years of dating.
The two, who started dating in 2019 after Liam ended things with then-wife Miley Cyrus, had maintained their relationship private previously. But this past week, Gabriella broke the exciting news on social media, uploading a picture of herself snuggling up next to Liam, with a white heart emoji as the caption. In a second picture, fans got an up-close look at her glittering diamond engagement ring, placed on a white bedsheet.
From Privacy to Proposal
Despite past rumors of an engagement, in 2023, Us Weekly issued a report stating that the two weren’t in any hurry to get married. Insiders at the time disclosed that Liam was not eager due to his previous marriage, which did not last for even a year. “Liam did not have a good experience the first time around. And it’s not something he thinks about in a positive way,” the insider explained.
But obviously, times have changed. Gabriella, 29 and a model, has always cherished privacy in the relationship. In an interview with Stellar Magazine, she referred to their relationship as “very sacred,” further stating, “It’s something I like to keep for myself… but he’s great. The Hemsworths are beautiful people, and I’m very lucky to know them.”

Liam’s own past high-profile romance with Miley Cyrus started on the movie set of The Last Song in 2010. Miley recently talked about their undeniable chemistry and said, “It was watching two very young people fall in love in real time. That was the beginning of a long, ten-year relationship.”
