Rapper Kanye West, aka Ye, and wife Bianca Censori drew attention with apparent violation of the dress code during the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. The suit sparked a heated debate as people questioned if it really crossed the lines of public decency.
Bianca arrived at the event in a long black fur coat. However, before walking the red carpet, she had removed the coat to reveal an extremely sheer, skin-tight dress that left little to the imagination. Soon after came reports saying that the couple was escorted out of the venue on account of her rather provocative outfit.
After the backlash, Kanye took to social media and defended his wife by posting, “We beat the Grammys.” In another Instagram story, he wrote, “February 4th, 2025. My wife is the most Googled person on the planet called Earth (sic). He even posted Google Analytics screenshots showing a rise in online searches for Bianca Censori. However, the post was later deleted.
Speculation also arose that Bianca could face legal consequences for indecent exposure. California Penal Code 314(1) states that indecent exposure occurs when a person intentionally exposes their body or genitals in a manner that could offend or annoy others. Some reports suggested that Bianca’s revealing outfit might put her at risk of legal action.
However, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that no charges will be filed against Censori, as the Los Angeles Police Department has not opened an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, Kanye West received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song for the song Carnival, which he featured with Ty Dolla $ign, Rick the Kid, and Playboi Carti. The controversy notwithstanding, the couple remains atop headlines, and their actions are sparking both criticism and fascination around the world.
