Thanksgiving with a Twist: Nicole Kidman’s Post-Divorce Celebration

Nicole Kidman spends her first Thanksgiving post-split with daughters at a Nashville Turkey Trot, sharing a heartfelt family moment despite the custody arrangement.

Nicole Kidman’s first Thanksgiving after her split with Keith Urban was spent in the most heartwarming and meaningful way. On Friday, November 28, the star of Practical Magic shared a family photo on Instagram, capturing herself running in a Turkey Trot in Nashville with loved ones.

She was joined by her daughters with Urban, Sunday, 17, and Faith, as well as her sister Antonia Kidman and brother-in-law Craig Marran. The outing looked merry and wholesome, as the family participated in the “Boulevard Bolt 2025,” a five-mile race during the festive weekend. Kidman was casual yet sporty in a white puffer jacket, black leggings, and a tee from the turkey-themed event. She simply captioned the post, “So thankful…xx,” punctuating how grateful and warm the occasion was.

This is Kidman’s first Thanksgiving since she and the country singer filed for divorce earlier this year, citing irreconcilable differences. The post subtly indicated that she was spending quality time with her daughters during the holiday-which might come as a surprise to some of her fans since Urban signed a custody arrangement in August.

According to the agreement, Kidman is supposed to have her daughters for 306 days out of the year, with Urban getting the girls for 59 days, including major holidays like Thanksgiving. But Kidman’s post seems to indicate the girls did spend part of the holiday with their mom, in what was a special moment as this family navigates this transition.

But despite the personal turmoil in the wake of the divorce filing, the outing showed Kidman making time for family and special moments with her daughters. Perhaps even more than the display of a close relationship with the children, the Turkey Trot was a reflection of a wellness-oriented approach to the often bittersweet holiday season.
