The Enola Holmes trailer is here. Netflix has dropped the trailer of the highly anticipated film starring Millie Bobby Brown in the lead role alongside Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Sam Claflin as Mycroft.
Set in 1984 in England, Millie plays Sherlock’s 16-year-old sister Enola Holmes, who becomes a detective in her own right after her mother whom she describes as “her whole world” in the trailer.

The movie will focus on her relationship with her mother played by Helena Bonham Carter. She goes on a rollercoaster adventure to find her missing mother, who disappears mysteriously and helps protect a young lord (Louis Partridge).
Enola becomes a sleuth in her own right as she searches for her mother, outwitting her famous brothers who wish to send her away to a finishing school for “proper” young ladies.
Refusing to follow their wishes Enola Holmes escapes searching for her mother in London.
The film is based on a series of books by Nancy Springer that re-imagines Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s world which focuses on Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister putting her at the centre of a series.
The series consists of six books, the first of which, ‘The Case of the Missing Marquess’, was published in 2006.
In addition to Brown, Cavill, Claflin and Carter, Enola Holmes also stars Fiona Shaw, Louis Partridge, Adeel Akhtar, Frances de la Tour, and Susie Wokoma.
Directed by Harry Bradbeer, the Netflix mystery film is written by Jack Thorne and produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Ali Mendes, Millie Bobby Brown, and Paige Brown.
Enola Holmes is a production of Legendary Pictures, PCMA Productions, and Warner Bros Pictures.
The film will be released on Netflix on September 23rd.
