Colombian pop star Shakira reportedly suffered from an abdominal problem that led to her hospitalization, and that would later cause her to cancel her Peru concert. The 48-year-old singer, who is on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, announced the cancellation on social media, saying it was with deep regret.

“I am sorry to be there to let my fans know that I was in ER because of abdominal woes, and I’m hospitalised,” Shakira posted on X (formerly Twitter). She went on to announce that she was forbidden from performing, as the doctor has deemed her not fit to perform or go on stage.

Postponement of Peru Concert
Shakira was incomparably upset with the postponement of her concert in Peru as she had been counting down to it. But assured fans that her team and concert organizers were working day and night to try and assign a new date to the performance. “I love you all, and I appreciate your understanding,” she posted.
Despite the obstacle, the Hips Don’t Lie singer hopes she will be able to resume touring very soon. She is expected to be out by Monday, and if the doctors give her the okay, she probably will perform in Peru that evening before heading off to Colombia for a series of concerts.
