Dot.’s latest ‘Girls Night’ is an ode to friendship she has with her girls

Dot. has dropped the latest video of her hit single 'Girls Night', and called it an ode to the friendship she shares with her girlfriends

Actress-singer Aditi Saigal, also known as Dot., has revealed the highly anticipated music video for her latest hit single, ‘Girls Night’! This song and video mark another significant achievement for the versatile and multi-talented artist Dot. (known for her role in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies). With a sunny Motown-infused jazz-pop vibe, this track highlights the special camaraderie and warm intimacy shared among girlfriends!

Teaming up once again with the Welsh production powerhouse, The Playbook, Dot.’s ‘Girls Night’ has quickly gained popularity on the internet and music streaming platforms. The song climbed the Global Top Indie Songs charts and garnered widespread acclaim and love.

Commenting on the video release, Dot. says, “One of the greatest perks of this profession is having the freedom to say ‘Hey, I want to shoot a music video with my best friends’ and then actually doing it! I mean, how fortunate am I? I get to create music about the people I cherish and then perform alongside them!”

Produced by Dot. and Hawwa (who also directed the music video), the ‘Girls Night’ video portrays a comforting space for its characters. Dot. and her friends Shibangi and Aksha find solace in a home that allows them to escape their daily routines. It’s a place where they can relax and be themselves.

Whether they’re playing music loudly, preparing late-night snacks, or having deep conversations about everything from relationships to societal norms, it’s evident that they are completely at ease with each other.

Dot. adds, “In the video, directed by my dear friend Hawwa Samples, we aimed to capture the effortless way we unwind together, along with some of our playful moments. We brainstormed to tap into specific memories we shared. Especially with the final shots, the video turned into a tribute to friendships everywhere. It might sound cheesy, but it’s true.”

Dot. made a splash in the Indian music scene with her viral YouTube song ‘Everybody Dances To Techno.’ Her ‘Practice Rooms’ album, stemming from raw recordings during her university days, features hits like ‘Asymmetrical,’ which impressed Zoya Akhtar so much that she included it in The Archies and also cast Dot. in a pivotal role in the film! Dot.’s exceptional acting and music in The Archies catapulted her to instant fame and critical acclaim.
