BLACKPINK’s Jennie is still making waves with her new single, “Like JENNIE,” which has taken the world by storm with its catchy rhythms and stunning choreography. On March 27, “Like JENNIE” took the number one spot on Mnet’s M Countdown, garnering 6,719 points. The victory followed a close battle against NMIXX’s “KNOW ABOUT ME,” with the results determined by considerations such as sound, album sales, international social media influence, fan votes, and Mnet broadcast points.
Ongoing Success for Jennie
This win is another feat for Jennie, who also won on M Countdown last month with her track “Love Hangover.” She edged out fellow BLACKPINK member Jisoo, who was up for “Earthquake.” Jennie had 7,765 points compared to Jisoo’s 6,524.

“Like JENNIE” and “Ruby” Album
“Like JENNIE” is one of Jennie’s solo debut albums, Ruby, where she features her eclectic musical abilities. Co-produced by Diplo and co-penned by Jennie and Zico, the album takes inspiration from Shakespeare’s As You Like It, touching on love, faith, and self-improvement. The album release was good, with “Like JENNIE” topping at No. 5 on the Billboard Global 200. The album also features tracks with artists such as FKJ, Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, and Kali Uchis.
Solo Career and Future Projects
Jennie’s solo career started in 2018 with SOLO, then You & Me in 2023. When she quit YG Entertainment to pursue her solo career, she debuted with Odd Atelier and collaborated with Columbia Records, dropping the single “Mantra” in October of 2024. With Ruby, Jennie continues to pave a successful career as a solo act.
