Grammy-winning artist Pitbull’s highly anticipated return to India has been called off, leaving fans disappointed across the country. The ‘I’m Back’ India Tour, which was announced just days ago, had planned two grand performances — one in Gurugram on December 6 and another in Hyderabad on December 8. However, both events have now been officially cancelled, with organisers citing “operational constraints” as the reason.
The announcement comes less than a week after tickets for the tour went live on October 25 through BookMyShow. Fans who had eagerly purchased tickets were informed of the cancellation via multiple communication channels, including SMS, email, and WhatsApp.
In an official statement shared with Mid Day, BookMyShow expressed regret over the development: “We regret to share that Pitbull’s ‘I’m Back’ Tour in India, on December 6th in Gurugram and December 8th in Hyderabad, has been cancelled owing to operational constraints. We know how excited fans were to see Mr. Worldwide live, and we share their disappointment. All ticket holders have already been communicated with and will receive a complete refund within 8–10 working days.”
Pitbull, known globally for chart-topping hits such as Give Me Everything, Timber, and Don’t Stop the Party, last performed in India in 2012. His planned return was met with tremendous enthusiasm from fans eager to see the international music icon perform live again.
While organisers have not elaborated on the specific reasons behind the “operational constraints,” reports suggest that logistical challenges may have played a role. Despite the setback, fans remain hopeful that Pitbull — fondly known as “Mr. Worldwide” — will reschedule his India tour soon and make a triumphant return to the stage in the near future.
