Is Sky Force running out of fuel? Akshay Kumar’s film witnesses a sharp decline, collects rs 6 crore

Sky Force, the Akshay Kumar-starrer action thriller, with Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, and Sharad Kelkar, has witnessed a significant fall in box office collections on its first Monday, after a good opening weekend. The Maddock Films-produced film has seen a 55% decline on Day 4 as compared to the opening day. On January 24, Sky Force opened strongly with a collection of Rs 13.75 crore, and it continued well through the weekend, collecting Rs 23.75 crore on Day 2 and Rs 26.50 crore on Day 3, which is Republic Day.

So, the Monday drop might still have something to say that the initial excitement around the film has subdued. The film had made Rs 6 crore on its fourth day and the total net collection was at Rs 70 crore in India. Although the figures show a reasonably good opening, there are certain underlying factors that led to the early success of the movie. The filmmakers had offered heavy discounts to enhance ticket sales and make tickets cheaper than usual. Many viewers took advantage of these discounts, with tickets priced as low as Rs 20 to Rs 50, and discounts ranging from Rs 250 to Rs 500 on standard format tickets. This pricing strategy helped to attract a larger audience over the weekend but might have impacted the film’s hold at the box office as the discounts wore off.

Even with this decline in collections on Day 4, Sky Force is still running in multiplexes, cinemas, and local theatres across the country, and the action-packed performances of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya continue attracting everyone’s attention. If you haven’t gone and watched it until now, you might as well catch this high-octane thriller where it’s still on the big screen—it might not be cheap in tickets anymore, but the excitement there is quite intense.
