Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World Rebirth has made a thunderous debut in India, collecting an impressive Rs 38.25 crore over its opening weekend. Starring Scarlett Johansson, the film’s earnings more than doubled those of the only major Hindi release, Metro… In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, which closed at Rs 16.75 crore.
According to box office portal Sacnilk, Jurassic World Rebirth opened with Rs 9 crore on Friday (July 4), rose to Rs 13.5 crore on Saturday, and finished strong with Rs 15.75 crore on Sunday. In contrast, Metro… In Dino registered Rs 3.5 crore, Rs 6 crore, and Rs 7.25 crore respectively over the same period.
Hindi Premiere at Jaipur’s Raj Mandir Creates Buzz
The film marked a historic moment by premiering its Hindi dubbed version at the iconic Raj Mandir cinema in Jaipur — a first for a Hollywood title. This bold move underlines the growing acceptance and popularity of international cinema among Indian regional audiences, echoing the legacy of Jurassic Park (1993), one of the first Hollywood films to be dubbed in Hindi.
Massive Global Launch: $318.3 Million in Five Days
Globally, Jurassic World Rebirth recorded a staggering $318.3 million five-day debut, including $147.3 million from North America. Despite not releasing in IMAX theatres in the U.S., due to ongoing runs of Brad Pitt’s F1, the film earned $8 million through Dolby Cinema from just 167 screens.

International markets added $171 million, with China contributing $41.5 million, making it the country’s biggest MPA opening of 2025 so far.
A Box Office Juggernaut
The film has now surpassed F1’s India opening (Rs 21.40 crore), solidifying its place as a global box office phenomenon.
