When Ayeesha S Aiman attended a fancy dress competition in her school at the age of 14, she decided to dress as Meera Bai, Ayeesha was so enamoured by the world of show biz even as a child, she knew she would grown up to be an actor someday. Raised in Bihar, Ayeesha studied Aeronautics before she entered in pageantry.
“I truly believe in will power. So far, whatever I have dreamt of has come true. I believe it’s the power of the universe that has made it happen for me,” says Ayeesha who represented India proudly at Miss International.
26 years old Ayeesha will now be featuring in her first film ‘India Lockdown’ by National award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar. The trailer of the film India Lockdown was officially launched on Thursday, film will be releasing on ZEE 5 on 2nd dec and will mark Ayeesha’s debut in the Bollywood.
The actress says, “I am thrilled to be a part of Bollywood now, the love that people have already bestowed on me has been overwhelming. I am new here, so I am great full to everyone. Moreover, it’s great to be a part of Madhur Bhandarkar’s India lockdown.
“I play a character of a sex worker whose life and business has been affected by COVID pandemic. I have stepped out of my comfort zone to play this role, there was no makeup or glamour, but I had a chance to showcase my ability as an actor, and the best way to grow is when you step out of your comfort zone,” says Ayeesha.
The actress says that “She will be spending the next couple of months focusing on learning crafts of acting as it will help me to act better.”
India lockdown is based on real story. It will depict four parallel stories and repercussions of the pandemic on the people of India.
India lockdown is written by Amit joshi and Aradhna Sah, film is jointly produced by Jayantilal gada (Pen Studio), PJ motion pictures and Bhandarkar Entertainment. India lockdown had its world premiere on 21st Nov at IFFI Goa, and film has already created a strong buzz among the audiences.
