At the trailer launch event of the highly anticipated docu-series Angry Young Men, which chronicles the legendary partnership of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, Salman Khan delighted the audience with a humorous twist on a classic dialogue. The event was also attended by Javed Akhtar’s children, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar, who shared their favorite lines written by their fathers.
Salman Khan, when asked to recall his favorite dialogue, famously said, “Mere paas maa hain” (I have my mother), and then humorously added, “Aur voh bhi do” (And I have two of them). This playful addition to the iconic line brought smiles all around, with Salim Khan beaming and Javed Akhtar laughing heartily. Farhan Akhtar, on the other hand, mentioned his favorite dialogue, “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai” (Catching Don is not just difficult, it’s impossible).
The event also featured heartwarming moments between Salman Khan and his niece, Ayat Sharma. A video of Salman holding Ayat and interacting with her during the event has gone viral, melting hearts across social media. Fans flooded the comment section with affectionate emojis, showing their love for the tender moment between uncle and niece.
The docu-series Angry Young Men is produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media & Entertainment, and Tiger Baby. It is executive produced by Salma Khan, Salman Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti, with Namrata Rao as the director. The series, set to release on August 20, delves into the revolutionary storytelling and unmatched legacy of Salim-Javed, who together delivered iconic films like Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, and Don. Their collaboration, which resulted in 24 films, with 22 of them being major hits, left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
