BTS Teams Up With Netflix For First-Ever Global Livestream Concert

BTS announces explosive comeback with new album ARIRANG, historic Netflix livestream concert, documentary release, and a massive global tour starting 2026.

Global K-pop sensation BTS is officially gearing up for a monumental comeback, thrilling fans worldwide with a lineup of major projects. After nearly four years away from performing together as a group, the seven-member band is set to return with a brand-new album, a historic livestreamed concert, an exclusive documentary, and an expansive world tour.

On February 3, Netflix confirmed its collaboration with BTS through social media, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated musical returns in recent years. The group’s comeback will begin with the release of their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, marking their first full studio album since Proof. While specific details about the album remain under wraps, excitement among fans, popularly known as ARMY, continues to surge.

The celebrations will continue with a grand live concert titled BTS THE COMEBACK Live | ARIRANG, scheduled for March 21. The performance will take place at Gwanghwamun, the iconic main gate of Seoul’s historic Gyeongbokgung Palace, adding a cultural and visual spectacle to the event. The concert will be livestreamed globally via Netflix at 8 PM KST (4:30 PM IST) and will be accessible to subscribers across all Netflix plans. Renowned director Hamish Hamilton, widely recognized for his work on Super Bowl Halftime Shows, will helm the production. This event will also mark the first time a live performance from South Korea will be broadcast globally through Netflix.

Fans will finally witness RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook performing together for the first time since 2022. Although the official set list remains secret, the group is widely expected to debut tracks from ARIRANG during the show.

Shortly after the concert, Netflix will release a feature-length documentary titled BTS: THE RETURN on March 27. Directed by Bao Nguyen, the documentary will offer an intimate look at the band’s reunion journey, including behind-the-scenes footage of album production and preparations in Los Angeles following their mandatory military service. The film will also highlight personal reflections from each member, showcasing their individual growth during their time apart and their vision for the future.

Following these releases, BTS will launch a massive world tour spanning 2026 and 2027. The tour will include more than 80 shows across 34 regions, covering Asia, North America, and Europe. The tour is set to begin on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, promising fans worldwide an unforgettable experience as BTS marks their long-awaited return to the global stage.
