The highly anticipated web series “Barzakh,” starring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, finally has a release date. The series will be available on Zindagi’s YouTube channel and ZEE5 starting July 19.
“Barzakh” is written and directed by Asim Abbasi, who previously helmed the successful Zee Zindagi series “Churails” and the critically acclaimed film “Cake,” which was Pakistan’s official entry for Oscar consideration in 2018.
The six-episode show delves into complex themes such as mental health, postpartum depression, generational trauma, and gender inclusivity, all woven into a gripping narrative that challenges societal conventions.
The star-studded cast includes Salman Shahid, M. Fawad Khan, Eman Suleman, Khushhal Khan, Faiza Gillani, Anika Zulfikar, and Franco Giusti, among others.
