Hero Fiennes Tiffin Transforms Into Young Sherlock — Fans Are Losing It!

Prime Video drops first-look images for Guy Ritchie’s Young Sherlock, revealing a bold, action-packed origin story starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

Prime Video has finally released the first look images for Young Sherlock, giving audiences a thrilling glimpse into the reimagined origin story of one of literature’s most beloved detectives. Helmed and executive-produced by Guy Ritchie, this highly anticipated series will make its global debut in 2026, promising an adrenaline-packed, style-driven reinvention of Sherlock Holmes that pushes far beyond any previous adaptation.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin portrays a young, pre-Baker Street Sherlock Holmes. Far from the suave, razor-sharp detective that fans have come to love, this Sherlock proves to be a brilliant but volatile young man-reckless, raw, and still learning how to harness his incredible mind. His world gets turned upside down when he is suspected of a shocking murder. While working to clear his name, Sherlock gets dragged into an immense conspiracy that takes him across continents and finally molds him into the genius he will become.

Set against the atmospheric backdrop of 1870s Oxford, the series mixes historical intrigue with Ritchie’s style of filmmaking-fast-paced cuts, sharp wit, strong action scenes, and a generally kinetic style. This youthful Sherlock is impulsive, emotional, and vulnerable, making his journey from troubled prodigy to legendary detective all the more compelling.

An ensemble powerhouse cast resonates within the series, including Dónal Finn, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons, and Colin Firth. Behind the camera, Ritchie is accompanied by an impressive lineup of executive producers, including Matthew Parkhill, Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson. The co-executive producer is Catherine Ryan Howard, while physical production is led by Motive Pictures.

Young Sherlock will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories and will add a bold, high-energy chapter to the Sherlock Holmes universe. Boasting a fresh perspective, dynamic cast, and the unmistakable directorial touch of Ritchie, the series is shaping up to be among the most anticipated releases of 2026 and an exciting new entry into the rapidly expanding world of literary adaptations.
