Karan Johar’s upcoming series The Tribe is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 4, 2024. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the show takes viewers into the lives of a group of Indian influencers as they chase global fame in Los Angeles. Directed by Omkar Potdar, the series promises to offer a glimpse into the modern influencer culture and the challenges of making it big in a foreign market.

Karan Johar to make his OTT debut on Netflix

The cast of  The Tribe includes notable personalities like Alanna Panday, who recently became a mother and has built a large following of over 1.5 million on Instagram with her lifestyle content. She is also the cousin of Bollywood actress Ananya Panday. Joining her are Alaviaa Jaaferi, the daughter of actor-comedian Javed Jaffrey, known for her fashion and beauty posts; Srushti Porey, a beach-loving influencer based in LA; and Alfia Jafry, the daughter of filmmaker Rumi Jaffery, who gained attention following her star-studded wedding in 2021. The cast also includes Aryaana Gandhi, an Indian-born musician who moved to LA in 2019 and made waves with her single Stockholm Syndrome featuring US rapper O.T. Genasis, and Hardik Zaveri, the founder of CollabTribe, a platform for influencers.

With its ensemble cast and a focus on the glamorous yet challenging lives of influencers, The Tribe is poised to attract viewers curious about the intersection of Indian culture and the global influencer scene.
