As Stranger Things’ final season approaches, actor Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly lodged a formal complaint against her co-star David Harbour, accusing him of bullying and harassment on set. The alleged incident took place prior to filming on Season 5 and has triggered an internal investigation by Netflix.
According to media reports, Brown — who plays Eleven — submitted a lengthy complaint containing “pages and pages” of accusations against Harbour, who portrays Jim Hopper.
While the allegations are serious, multiple sources emphasise that no sexual misconduct has been alleged.
Netflix, which has not publicly commented, is said to have carried out a months-long investigation into the claims. The results of the inquiry remain undisclosed.
A source familiar with the situation told reporters: “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. The investigation went on for months.”
With production of the series’ final chapter already underway, the streaming giant is reportedly keen to keep the focus on delivering a grand conclusion. “It will be a theatrical event. Nothing is going to overshadow this, not even the leading man’s private life,” said one insider.

The original cast — including Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Brown and Harbour — will return for the show’s finale.
As Season 5 is released in three parts — Volume 1 on 26 November 2025, Volume 2 on 25 December 2025, and the final episode on 31 December 2025 — the industry watches not only for the story’s climax, but also how this behind-the-scenes controversy may impact it.
