Netflix’s iconic sci-fi series Stranger Things is gearing up for its highly anticipated fifth and final season. As the story prepares to bring closure to the mysteries of the Upside Down and the battle against Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), fans are eager to see their beloved characters reunite for one last showdown. While major plot details remain under wraps, cast members have started opening up about their final moments on set including Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair.
Caleb McLaughlin on Letting Go
In a recent interview with ScreenRant, McLaughlin reflected on what it was like wrapping up a role he’s portrayed for nearly a decade. “I’ve kind of gone through those emotions already. So now it’s for the fans to take that in and digest. I feel great,” he said. McLaughlin admitted he was emotional during the final day of shooting. “I told myself I wasn’t going to cry. But after ten years of love, laughter, sadness, and peace — I just bawled,” he shared.
The actor emphasized how close he is with the cast and crew, describing them as family. “Being a part of something so amazing that has touched so many people it just feels great,” he added.

A Legacy That Touched Lives
Beyond its gripping narrative, McLaughlin believes Stranger Things has helped many fans cope with personal challenges. “It’s gotten people past a lot of trauma. It’s helped them see a different way to live, believe in friendship, and find new people,” he said.
Season 5 will follow the events of Season 4, which ended with Max’s near-death and a new gateway to the Upside Down. The final season is expected to premiere later this year, featuring the full original cast.
