Stranger Things 5 Finale: Will and Mike’s Shocking Confession?

Will and Mike’s bond takes center stage as Stranger Things nears its finale, with emotional revelations, shocking twists, and answers to the Upside Down mystery.

Since the inception of Stranger Things in the very first season, there has been an element of viewers realizing that the relationship between Will Byers and Mike Wheeler encompasses more than mere brotherly love in their childhood days. Although, in the show, it has been revealed that Will has some kind of romantic inclination towards Mike, the latter has been rendering emotional support to Eleven. With the ending series being eagerly awaited in its final episodes, viewers are keen to witness if Will and Mike will address their feelings or not.

Adding further to the conversation on the subject, Noah Schnapp has recently opened up on the subject of depicting the story of a queer character growing up in the 1980s. The 21-year-old spoke about the character of Will Byers. He called the character’s ‘real and authentic representation of a person who is part of the LGBTQ spectrum and the way he has experienced both the joys and the pain of being in love and finding himself at a point and time when these things were not expressed much at all.’ Nevertheless, he highlighted the way the Duffer brothers have treated the subject.

In light of Will’s unrequited love, Schnapp claimed that the experience had been very personal for him. “I’ve experienced that before, like being in love with your best friend and maybe they don’t love you back,” he said. Without giving too much away, the actor was quick to reassure that Will’s story does see a resolution. “I’m not going to give anything away, but I think the Duffers handled it well,” he said.

On the other hand, Finn Wolfhard, who portrays Mike Wheeler, has also shared teasers for what can beexpected in the final episodes of Stranger Things Season 5. In one of his outings to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Finn announced the fifth episode of Volume 2 to be “crispy,” sending waves of curiosity. In response to questions about the sixth episode, Escape from Camazotz when asked, he hesitated before declaring it “shocking.” The seventh episode, The Bridge, is “enlightening,” while the final one, The Rightside Up, is simply “emotional.”

Adding to the ever-growing waiting, Netflix has also rolled out a Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 teaser. The teaser features Vecna as the most powerful and menacing form he has been in the series, prepared to execute the last stage of his plan.

It also indicates that the truth about the Upside Down shall finally come out into the open, a question that has lingered since the series began. As emotional wraps, dramatic turns, and finally, some answers to many questions are looming, Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 will air on Netflix on December 25, marking the end of an era for this popular series.
