Dita Von Teese ready to embrace grey hair

0

Model Dita Von Teese plans to embrace her grey hair when the time comes.

During an interview for the Daily Telegraph newspaper, she was asked if she can see a day when she will embrace the grey, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She said: "Oh definitely. Every two weeks, when I pull out that box of black dye, I'm like, 'God, wouldn't it be great to not be doing this?' But be careful what you wish for, right?"

Her burlesque shows are still hugely popular. But Von Teese said she considered retiring two years ago before realising she wants to be an "example" for older women.

"I had a lot of pressure from my former producing partner. Every night I'd come offstage and she'd be like, 'Oh, you didn't look so good right there… Can we cover up this? You need to really suck it in.

I was thinking, 'Oh God, maybe I should quit before people start seeing all the flaws that could arise from the ageing process. It was starting to get to me.

"(But) it occurred to me that there are all these women who are older that I admire, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Madonna, and they are all out there still. It has meaning for me to watch them go through different phases of life and still embrace their sexuality and sensuality. I need to be an example as well. I love performing burlesque, people still want to see me do it."

Leaving Fifth Harmony helped Cabello ‘come alive’

Singer Camila Cabello says leaving the band Fifth Harmony helped her come alive.

Cabello released her full debut album 'Camila' on Monday. She believes the decision to leave the band helped her start expressing herself and her vision more freely, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I had been writing songs since I was 16, and at first I wanted to write for other people. But I had these songs that were so personal… and I couldn't imagine me giving it to somebody and somebody else singing them because it was too close to me," Cabello told NPR magazine.

"I went a long time writing songs thinking that, 'Nobody will ever hear this for another 10 years because I'll still be in the group'," she added.

Cabello said she is now in a great place, because she has taken complete ownership of her public appearances.

"I'm all for girls wearing what they want to wear. I think it is great for girls who want to express their sexuality and if they want to wear booty shorts or eyelashes or whatever to feel great, then that's amazing," she said.

"The only thing wrong is when somebody is pushing you to do it before it's your time and before you are comfortable – or if that's not really you. I think both of those are okay; whether you want to go for that or you are not comfortable with that," she added.

Sharon Stone had 5 per cent chance of living

Actress Sharon Stone says she there was a time when she had just five per cent chance of surviving. It was when she suffered brain haemorrhage in 2001.

Stone, 59, told CBS News that she had to re-learn everything when her life was wiped out as a result of the medical condition, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The actress, who will be returning to TV in Steven Soderbergh's 'Mosaic', said: "There was about a five per cent chance of me living. My whole life was wiped out. Others aren't that interested in a broken person. I was alone.

"I'm sure I seemed peculiar coming through this all these years, and I didn't want to tell everybody what was happening because, you know, this is not a forgiving environment. I'm so grateful to have this. The chance of my having it was so slim."

While the BASIC INSTINCT star is back in the film industry again, she still has some alone time and likes to spend some of it talking to her tree.

"I talk to my tree… it's pretty fabulous, it smells so great," said Stone, who has adopted sons Roan, 17, Laird, 12, and Quinn, 11.

She says she has "seen it all" in the entertainment industry over the last 40 years, and is pleased to see women are becoming more "empowered".

Asked if she has ever been in a position when she has felt uncomfortable, she laughed and replied: "Oh, I've been in this business for 40 years. Can you imagine the business I stepped into 40 years ago?

"Looking like I look, from nowhere, Pennsylvania? I didn't come here with any protection. I've seen it all. We're starting to acknowledge our own gifts as women and not think that we have to behave as men in order to be empowered or powerful or valuable," she said.

Emraan Hashmi is all set to CHEAT INDIA!

0

T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment are repeating their partnership following the box office success of the acclaimed Vidya Balan-starrer TUMHARI SULU. The two front-running content companies have partnered with Emraan Hashmi Films on their next production titled CHEAT INDIA.

The edge-of-the-seat drama, largely inspired by real incidents, will be directed by Soumik Sen of GULAAB GANG fame.

Emraan Hashmi will headline the film, which takes a startling look at the crimes in the Indian education system that has created a parallel eco-system infested with greed harvesters.

Talking about the film Hashmi shares, “The script and title of CHEAT INDIA are supremely powerful. This is among the most engaging and riveting stories I’ve read in a while and I am thrilled to be essaying what I believe will be a landmark role in my filmography. I am also looking forward to working with some formidable partners – Soumik, an amazing storyteller, Ellipsis, the new kids with a pulse on clutter-breaking content and marketing, and T-Series, with whom I share an old association on music and films.”

Director Sen added, “This film is for every Indian student who is under pressure to excel in a competitive environment. Today’s youth will hugely relate to CHEAT INDIA.”

“We are increasingly treading the path of strong creative partnerships, and in line with that, we are excited about co-creating CHEAT INDIA, which, we believe, will reflect the new-age appetite for compelling content rooted in realism,” said Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.

Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar of Ellipsis Entertainment remarked, “The projects we are developing are incredibly diverse, varied in scope, and speak to the elevated tastes of audiences today. The story of CHEAT INDIA will entertain and uplift, and we’re delighted to be bringing it to life.”

CHEAT INDIA is scheduled for a February 2019 release.
