Vijay Raaz: No heroes in FERROUS

0

Actor Vijay Raaz says there are only very dark characters and no heroes in the upcoming film FERROUS.

"The film is a crime drama. It is not the run-of-the-mill kinds. It has an unconventional screenplay," Vijay said in a statement to IANS.

Vijay instantly accepted the movie because of the film's flavour.

"There are no heroes in the film. All the characters are negative, in fact very dark," he said.

Written and directed by Shaurya Singh, the film also features Zakir Hussain, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal and Gopal K. Singh.

"I feel that a film should move the audience. I will also be sending FERROUS to certain film festivals before its worldwide release in mid of 2018. I just want the people to enjoy the film and remember it as a good memory," he said.

On preparation for films, he said: "I try to be different with every character. I generally write the plot of my film first and then go deeply into the characterisation. I put a lot of emphasis on the mannerisms of a character."

"I also try to give them catchy lines. I personally stay open to suggestions of actors and my team, and sometimes we make changes on the spot," he added.

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia says she didn't enjoy any administrative authority in the creative role play in the Telugu version of Kangana Ranaut-starrer QUEEN.

According to a report, National Award-winning director Neelakanta quit the remake of QUEEN over creative differences with the actress.

Slamming it as baseless, Tamannaah said in a statement to IANS: "I would like to reiterate and clarify that no actor ever has had a say in the technical process of a film. My team or I didn't enjoy any administrative authority in the creative role play for the Telugu version of QUEEN."

The final call "always rests with the producer of the film", she said.

Tamannaah is looking forward to resuming work and completing the final schedule of the film.

"I have great respect for Neelakanta sir and would like to put an end to all these speculative rumours. The producer (Manu Kumaran) had made some changes to the composition of the team in early November to streamline the execution of this extremely ambitious project," she said.

"The four language simultaneous remakes of QUEEN is a dream project for everyone involved and we all are collectively working towards giving the audience four beautiful and entertaining movies," she added.

The Kangana Ranaut-starrer Hindi blockbuster is being made in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada besides Telugu.

Patrick Wilson: “Liam Neeson has got a giving soul”

The supporting cast of Liam Neeson’s upcoming movie THE COMMUTER has an ensemble cast of established talent including Patrick Wilson, Sam Neill, Jonathan Banks and Florence Pugh and these people could not praise Liam more!

Looks like Neeson was the reason Patrick signed the movie. “Liam Neeson was the first reason I wanted to do the film,” says Wilson, who co-starred with Neeson in THE A-TEAM. “I didn’t know Jaume Collet-Serra but Vera Farmiga is a dear friend and said he‘s the best so it was an easy decision.”

It was Neeson‘s generosity both as a person and as an actor that made working on the film such a pleasure for Wilson. “Liam’s resurgence as an action star comes from the fact that he’s got such a giving soul,” continues Wilson.

He further added, “Every character he plays, you pull for him. You always want his character to succeed whatever distress or turmoil he‘s in. What I loved about this is that it’s immediately clear that Michael has really lost a lot and he’s not in a great place in and he’s trying to face his future as a 60 year old man.”
