Music maestro and Indian gem AR Rahman’s music has global appeal and there’s no doubt about that. He bagged biggest of the awards. In fact he has won all sorts of topnotch awards, which is a dream for any musician and aspirant. He has won Academy Awards, BAFTA, Grammy, Golden Globe, National Film Awards and Filmfare awards. And now he is all set to add yet another feather to his already studded cap.

A R Rahman has been shortlisted for the World Soundtrack Awards.

He has been shortlisted in the award for his composition of music for the film VICEROY'S HOUSE.

"Delighted to be shortlisted for the World Soundtrack Awards Public Choice Award for Viceroy's House," he posted.

VICEROY'S HOUSE is British-Indian historical drama film directed by Gurinder Chadha.

The film is written by Paul Mayeda Berges, Moira Buffini, and Chadha. The film stars Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, and Michael Gambon.

The emotional thriller directed by Ravi Udyawar brings together three heavyweight actors – Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna. If that wasn't all, MOM also brings together two legends like megastar Sridevi and Oscar award winning A R Rahman for the very first time.

Bollywood ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film SIMRAN first teaser was mind-blowing. Kangana stole the show in a no dialogue teaser with her sprightly, funny, quirky , peppy, happy-go-lucky avatar. But it looks the trailer of the film will have Kangana’s voice. While we witnessed her fun antics in the teaser, we shall now get to hear her voice as well in the upcoming trailer.

And what makes us say so? Well, Kangana was spotted dubbing for SIMRAN trailer at a recording studio, while director Hansal Mehta was watching over. Inspite of the teaser not having dialogues, it managed to bring a smile on our face and Kangana’s endearing portrayal was impactful, we  now wait eagerly to check out the first trailer with that. We are sure Kangana will win over our hearts with her dialogues as well.

Chetan Anand’s musical classic HEER RAANJHA (1970) based on epic poem Heer by Waris Shah will now have its modern version.

The 70’s classic starred Raaj Kumar and Priya Rajvansh. Directed by Chetan Anand, the movie is remembered for the magnificent piece of work done by acclaimed Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi (father of renowned actress Shabana Azmi.

The 1970 classic stands out to be a unique film with its entire dialogue in verse. According to a report published in the Mumbai Mirror, Ketan Anand, the son of Chetan Anand, is all set to bring his father’s musical classic HEER RAANJHA in its modern version that will be both in prose and poetry.

Shooting will begin by next year and other details like cast and crew will be announced in due course

HEER RAANJHA will always be remembered for its sublime poetry and songs like 'Milo Na Tum Toh Hum Ghabrayei', and Yeh Duniya Yeh Mehfil'.

After giving the audience some very inspiring and successful biopics based on life of celebrated sports star like Milkha Singh, Mary Kom and the Phogat sisters, Bollywood filmmakers are gearing up to present yet another biopic based on India’s former captain and star Hockey player Sandeep Singh.

This biopic on Sandeep Singh will be directed by Shaad Ali and actress Chitrangda will be producing it. Chitrangda had acquired rights of this film some 3 years ago.

DILJIT DOSANJH AND CHITRANGDA SINGH

Earlier there were reports of Ranbir Kapoor stepping in Sandeep Singh’s shoes but now actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has been confirmed for this biopic. Diljit was last seen in Anushka’s home production PHILLAURI.

Reportedly Shaad Ali will be helming this biopic. With the terrific performance that Diljit gave in UDTA PUNJAB we are pretty sure that he will do full justice to this role.
