Akhil Akkineni, the younger son of superstar Nagarjuna, will move away from his typical lover-boy image in his next film Lenin. Popular for his sweet roles in films such as Akhil, Hello, Mr Majnu, Most Eligible Bachelor, and Agent, Akhil will now be spotted in a rougher avatar. This movie also marks his comeback to the big screen after a gap of one year, generating huge enthusiasm among audiences.
First Look and Title Reveal
The producers of Lenin surprised fans with a birthday present as they released the first title glimpse of the movie on April 8, which happened to be Akhil’s birthday at 31. The one-minute teaser, posted by Nagarjuna on his X handle, took fans for a thrilling first glance of Akhil in a completely different avatar, away from his typical romantic roles. The teaser also teased Sreeleela’s pairing opposite Akhil, with a small appearance in the glimpse.

Nagarjuna, who is also producing the movie in association with Naga Vamsi, wrote a birthday wish for his son, penning, “Happy birthday, dear Akhil… may the Universe bless you with all its power and glory.” The beaming father was also thrilled with the collaboration, tweeting, “Very happy to collaborate with you @vamsi84. Thank you, team Lenin, for the superb glimpse!!”
Film Details and Mythological Significance
Directed by Kishore Abburu, known for his work on Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha (2023), Lenin is produced under Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios and Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments. The teaser suggests that Akhil’s character has a strong connection to Lord Krishna, adding a mythological layer to the film. The teaser ends on a reflection-evoking caption: “No war is more violent than love,” suggesting that the movie will be about a romantic struggle story. Akhil’s fans are eagerly waiting for his groundbreaking performance in this new role of excitement.
