August 14 is shaping up to be a blockbuster day for Indian cinema lovers. Two major releases Rajinikanth’s Coolie and the star-studded action thriller War 2 are set to clash at the box office. Now, fans have another big reason to head to theatres: the first official look at Baahubali: The Epic will also debut on the same day.
Rajamouli Celebrates 10 Years of Baahubali
Celebrating a decade since Baahubali: The Beginning first captivated audiences, director SS Rajamouli announced a special theatrical release titled Baahubali: The Epic. This combined version merges Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion into a two-part cinematic experience.
Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Rajamouli wrote:
“Baahubali… The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with #BaahubaliTheEpic, a two-part combined film. In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.”
The film will feature the original cast — Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia — and will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Box Office: Coolie Leads Early Ticket Sales
According to Sacnilk, Coolie is currently leading the pre-release box office race with over ₹10.26 crore gross from 4.91 lakh tickets sold. The Tamil version alone has raked in ₹10 crore, highlighting Rajinikanth’s massive draw in the South.
On the other hand, War 2 — starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani — has earned ₹34.34 lakh from 9,295 tickets, with the Hindi 2D version contributing the bulk of sales.
