Superstar Chiranjeevi marked a special milestone in his son Ram Charan’s career with an emotional message on social media. As Ram Charan completed 18 years in the film industry today, the veteran actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartfelt note, recalling the first time he saw his son on screen as a hero in Chirutha.
“Charan Babu, I am so happy that your cinematic journey, which began 18 years ago with Chirutha, has become immortalised in the hearts of millions of fans today,” Chiranjeevi wrote. “That moment when I saw you as a hero on screen… I will never forget it as a father. Your discipline, hard work, perseverance, humility, and dedication have made you stand out even more in the industry.” Expressing his pride and admiration, Chiranjeevi added, “As a father, I will always be proud of you… Wishing you to scale many more peaks with the love of the Telugu audience and the blessings of God… Victory…!”
The celebration didn’t stop there. Vriddhi Cinemas, the production house behind Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi, also commemorated the occasion with a tribute post. “Celebrating our #Peddi’s 18 incredible years in cinema,” they wrote. “From carrying a rich legacy on screen to being grounded off it, you’ve paved your own path and given us countless moments of high & energy.”
Alongside the post, the makers unveiled a new poster of Ram Charan, highlighting his journey and teasing what’s to come. The excitement for Peddi continues to grow, with the team recently confirming that the film is halfway through production. Editing is currently underway while shooting progresses in parallel. Peddi is set for a global release on March 27, 2026.
