Singer Mika Singh has publicly criticized fellow artist Diljit Dosanjh for choosing to release his film Sardaar Ji 3 featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir overseas following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. Though Mika did not directly name Diljit in his Instagram Story, he made the target clear by posting a collage of the two together.
“Nation Comes First,” Says Mika
In his strongly worded post, Mika wrote, “Desh Pehle (Nation first). Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn’t going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly.” He added that artists should think carefully before collaborating across borders, especially when national dignity is at stake.

Mika also referenced a past controversy involving Fawad Khan’s unreleased film Abir Gulaal with Vaani Kapoor, which faced backlash due to similar political tensions. Taking a dig at Diljit’s recent success, he said, “What’s more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, has now disappeared leaving fans betrayed and helpless.”
Sardaar Ji 3 Skips Indian Release
While the teaser of Sardaar Ji 3 was released in India a few months ago without featuring Hania Aamir, her presence was confirmed only in the trailer, which dropped on June 22. Amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions, the trailer has been geo-blocked in India.
Following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian film body reaffirmed its stance against Pakistani artists working in Indian productions. As a result, Sardaar Ji 3 will not release in Indian theatres and is set for an overseas release on June 27.
Diljit Dosanjh has yet to respond to Mika Singh’s remarks.
