Pawan Kalyan is riding high on the success of his latest action drama They Called Him OG. A special private screening was recently held at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad, turning into a grand family affair with several members of the Mega family in attendance. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Sai Durga Tej, Surekha Konidela, and Pawan Kalyan’s children Akira Nandan and Aadhya joined the Power Star to celebrate the film’s success.
A fan shared a rare picture from the screening on X, which quickly went viral. The image features Chiranjeevi, Surekha, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Akira Nandan, Aadhya, and Sai Durga Tej, all posing together after the show. Chiranjeevi, coming out of the theatre, praised his brother’s performance, calling the film “superbbb.”
Director Sujeeth, in an interview with Idlebrain, addressed comparisons between OG and Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly. Sujeeth clarified that OG was conceptualized much earlier and even had its teaser released before Good Bad Ugly was written. He acknowledged the similarities—such as the katana usage and the title overlap—but noted that timing often distorts perception. He added, “I’m happy for Adhik, and I like Ajith too.”
OG features an ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Priyanka Mohan, and Sriya Reddy. Set in 1990s Mumbai, the story follows Satya Dada (Prakash Raj), whose empire is under threat. As chaos unfolds, former gangster Ojas Gambheera aka OG (Pawan Kalyan) is forced out of exile, leading to a storm of vengeance and shocking revelations. The film explores OG’s mysterious past and his ties to the crumbling criminal world.
