In fact, the Kanchana series, spearheaded by actor-director Raghava Lawrence, is among the most successful horror-comedy franchises in Tamil. After delivering four back-to-back blockbuster films, the makers have now announced the fifth installment in the series — Kanchana 4 — with Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi leading the female cast.
The film’s team announced this with an official statement and took to social media, saying, “Even in your deepest fear, she comes to tie up and faint you with her beauty. Welcome on board, the stunning diva Pooja Hegde to Kanchana 4! A heaven awaits you.” For the first time, Pooja will be collaborating with Lawrence and making her entry into the Kanchana universe, known for its perfect blend of horror, humor, and emotional depth.
Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi has also been roped in, playing an important role and infusing glamour and vibrancy into the project. The fans are gearing up to see this performer in a Tamil setting, promising a fresh dynamic in the horror-comedy space.

Kanchana 4 is written, directed, and starring Raghava Lawrence himself, continuing the series he started with Muni in 2007, Kanchana in 2011, Kanchana 2 in 2015, and Kanchana 3 in 2019. Although the storyline is different for each of these installments-which involve supernatural elements-Lawrence remains the anchor for all films in the franchise. These movies went on to become blockbuster successes and are still considered a cult following across South India.
While Kanchana 4 gears up to go into production, Lawrence is also busy with Benz, a vigilante action thriller linked to the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU), featuring Nivin Pauly and Samyuktha.
