The superstar Rajinikanth completed 50 years in Indian cinema this year. For his immense contribution to the Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada films, the legendary actor was felicitated at the 56th edition of IFFI in Goa. IFFI was from November 20 to 28, a celebration of the finest global and Indian cinema with screenings, masterclasses, and award functions.
Ahead of the closing ceremony on November 28, Rajinikanth was beaming as he posed with his family. His daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth shared this joyous moment on Instagram and left fans across the world delighted. Rajinikanth, in a dark blue shirt with grey trousers, was seen posing with wife Latha, elder daughter Aishwarya, younger daughter Soundarya and his grandsons Yatra Raja and Linga. The family looked visibly delighted as they struck a pose together in order to capture this cherished moment.
At the closing ceremony, Rajinikanth stepped onto the red carpet in a pristine white dhoti and shirt, posing for photographers outside the venue. Other than the celebratory homage to her father, Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial Lal Salaam was screened as part of a segment titled “Retrospective Rajinikanth” at IFFI.
Talking about the moment, Aishwarya said, “As a daughter, as a director, and as a member of the film fraternity, this is a dream come true. I am really thankful to God and to my team for their immense support. To have my film included in my father’s 50th-year celebration is just a blessing.”

Produced by Lyca Productions, the sports action drama is written in Tamil and features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead with an ensemble supporting cast that includes Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah. Rajinikanth appears in an extended cameo that raises the excitement level of the fans of the superstar.
