A Sequel to the Action Thriller
Jailer 2 is the follow-up to the 2023 Tamil blockbuster Jailer, an action-thriller that was popular with audiences as well as critics. Like the original, Jailer 2 is penned and directed by Nalin Dilipkumar, his second assignment with Rajinikanth. The movie will pick up the story of Muthuvel Pandian, a character that won instant favor because of Rajinikanth’s commanding performance.
Star-Studded Cast and Music
Anirudh Ravichander, the composer of the extremely successful soundtrack of the first movie, is also coming back to score the music for Jailer 2. Audiences can anticipate more hit songs, considering the success of the predecessor. News has it that the sequel will include a grand star-studded cast, with major stars from various movie industries also making cameo appearances. The original movie boasted great cameos by Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff, and a repeat cast of stars is anticipated this time around.
