Rumours surrounding Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s possible collaboration with Ravi Teja on his upcoming thriller have been circulating for weeks. However, a recent report now suggests that the actress is not part of the project after all. Despite the strong buzz on social media hinting at their teaming up, the latest update claims the makers are instead considering Kollywood actress Priya Bhavani Shankar for the female lead.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, 123 Telugu has reported that Priya is currently the frontrunner. The same outlet had earlier stated that Samantha was in talks for an exciting film with Ravi Teja, which was expected to be directed by Shiva Nirvana.
For now, Ravi Teja remains focused on his ongoing project Bhartha Mahasayulaki Wignyapthi, directed by Kishore Tirumala. The family entertainer is slated for a Sankranthi 2026 release.
Meanwhile, Samantha—who recently turned producer with Subham—shared a series of photos on social media in May to thank fans for their overwhelming support. Two images sparked fresh conversation online: one featuring Samantha posing with Raj Nidimoru and the Subham team, and another showing an in-flight selfie with Raj, which fueled ongoing speculation about their relationship.
The duo, who first worked together on Citadel, have been the focus of rumours for months. According to a Pinkvilla report, sources claim they may be exploring the possibility of moving in together, though no confirmation has been provided. Raj, who separated from his spouse in 2022, is rumoured to share a close bond with Samantha following their professional collaborations.
Samantha’s next major project, Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, features a strong ensemble including Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Ravi Teja was last seen in Mass Jaathara, a high-energy commercial entertainer co-starring Sreeleela. Though initially slated for an August 27, 2025 release, production delays resulted in multiple postponements. The film has completed censor formalities and secured a U/A certificate.
