South Indian superstar Trisha Krishnan has once again proven that humour is her best weapon against rumours. Amid widespread media buzz claiming she is set to marry a Chandigarh-based businessman, Trisha subtly addressed the speculation with a cheeky Instagram story. “I love when people plan my life for me. Just waiting for them to schedule the honeymoon too,” she wrote, playfully dismissing the reports without making a direct statement.
Reports by ETimes suggested that both families had approved the alleged match and had known each other for years. However, neither Trisha nor her family has confirmed any such developments. Her witty post suggests she’s in no rush to walk down the aisle — at least not yet.
Trisha has previously stated that while she is open to marriage, she believes it must happen at the right time and with the right person. The actress was briefly engaged to businessman Varun Manian in 2015, but the relationship ended reportedly due to differences surrounding her career, which she chose to prioritise.
She has also been linked to her frequent co-star Vijay, especially after their 2023 reunion in Leo. However, both have repeatedly clarified that they are simply close friends. Vijay has been married to Sangeetha Sornalingam since 1999 and has two children.
Trisha, often hailed as the “Queen of South India,” boasts a career spanning over two decades in Tamil and Telugu cinema. With critically acclaimed performances and massive box-office hits like Ghilli, Saamy, Varsham, ’96, and Ponniyin Selvan, she has earned numerous accolades, including five Filmfare Awards South and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
With her highest-grossing film to date being Leo (2023), Trisha continues to reign as one of South Indian cinema’s most beloved and enduring stars.
