Balika Vadhu Actress Avika Gor Hospitalised With Dengue After Shooting With 104 Degree Fever

Avika Gor has been hospitalised with dengue after battling a 103–104 degree fever for five days and continuing to work before her diagnosis.

Balika Vadhu actress Avika Gor has been hospitalised after being diagnosed with dengue. Her husband, Milind Chandwani, shared an update about her health and revealed that the actress continued working despite having a very high fever for several days. According to Milind, Avika had been suffering from a fever of 103–104 degrees for the past five days. Despite feeling unwell, she continued with her professional commitments. She finally stopped working after her medical reports confirmed that she had dengue and was admitted to the hospital.

Avika also gave fans a glimpse of her condition by sharing a selfie from the hospital on Instagram Stories. She wrote, “The only thing that’s keeping me excited today other than my platelets counts… #Bukhaar releasing tonight at 6!!! P.S. Dengue sucks!” She also shared a picture of her hand with an IV cannula.

Milind explained that Avika first went to complete the remaining two days of a project shoot while dealing with a 104 degree fever. Despite her condition, the shoot was completed in just one day. She then returned home and spent two days resting in bed and taking medicines.

However, Avika had another professional commitment in Delhi. Milind said she travelled there with the same fever, got herself tested and shot for an advertisement before returning to Mumbai. Her report later confirmed that she had dengue.

Milind said he had repeatedly asked Avika to postpone the commitment and assured her that the producers would understand. However, she did not want the people involved in the project to face a loss because of her.

“She kept saying, ‘Someone will face a loss, someone’s time will be wasted, someone’s money will be wasted. I don’t want that. I’ll do as much as I can. I’ll go.’ I’ve never understood where someone gets this kind of love for their work from—the kind of respect they have for their craft, and the kind of value they place on other people’s time and resources. I don’t think there are too many people in this industry who do that much,” said Milind.

Milind also asked fans to pray for Avika’s recovery. He pointed out the coincidence that her song ‘Bukhaar’ was releasing on the same day she was battling a high fever. Several celebrities, including Jasmin Bhasin and Ruhaanika Dhawan, also wished her a speedy recovery.

Avika is currently seen as a contestant on Rohit Shetty hosted stunt based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.
