The recent Bigg Boss 19 episode caused huge controversy when contestant Nehal Chudasama accused singer-composer Amaal Mallik of inappropriateness through physical contact during a task for captaincy. Nehal wept uncontrollably while confronting Amaal, who immediately apologized, though she refused to continue interacting with him.
Netizens Slam Nehal for “Playing the Woman Card”
Within moments of the episode broadcasting, social media was awash with criticism directed towards Nehal. Several of the show’s fan base accused her of playing the “woman/victim card” to curry sympathy and single out male contestants.
“Bro did nothing, but #NehalChudasama began crying and accused him of misbehavior. Amaal wasn’t in the wrong but still apologized,” stated one user on X. Another noted that Nehal herself had been observed touching Amaal in the challenge, describing her actions as “hypocritical.”
There were a few posts that ranted against what they viewed as Nehal’s manipulation strategies. “#AmaalMallik is being slandered while Nehal is the one who has gone overboard. Shame on @BiggBoss for permitting such character assassination,” another spectator posted.
Pattern of Controversial Behavior?
This isn’t the first controversy Nehal has been involved in. Last week, she criticized Abhishek Bajaj for picking up Farhana Bhatt jokingly while doing a task. Nehal asked the housemates to boycott Abhishek and even proposed he be not given food. Her response was condemned as an overreaction.

Salman Khan Confronts Nehal
This was tackled by host Salman Khan during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Salman justified Abhishek’s behavior as mischievous and scolded Nehal for needlessly escalating the situation.
