Bigg Boss 19 episode 24 went from bad to worse as a prank started by Shehbaz Badesha went awry, causing mass outrage within the house. Amaal Mallik, being the captain at the moment, started playing along but stayed aloof from the backlash, using the “good cop” role while Shehbaz drew the ire.
The Prank That Sparked a Storm
The show started with Shehbaz suggesting a late-night mischief to Amaal—stealing the housemates’ personal items and necessary foodstuff such as sugar and coffee. The two implemented the idea while the household slept, hiding things under beds and settees. The following morning, housemates such as Kunickaa Sadanand and Neelam Giri saw things missing. Baseer, after finding his stuff missing, responded vehemently and proposed bag screening.
When there were growing suspicions, Gaurav Khanna suggested searching everybody’s bags together to avoid bias. While all this was happening, Shehbaz started confiding in individual housemates, beginning with Zeishan Quadri, that he had played the prank but requested them to maintain secrecy. Shehbaz informed Zeishan that he was thinking of disclosing it to everybody after two days.
Bigg Boss Clarifies, House Reacts
With tensions running high, Bigg Boss intervened to clarify that he was not part of the prank and cautioned that concealment of things necessary such as food was forbidden. Under pressure, Shehbaz owned up to Neelam, who went straight away and told the entire household.

Fallout and Boycott Call
A search for the secret objects followed. Although questioned, Shehbaz maintained that he acted single-handedly. This prompted the housemates to boycott him. Amaal, disheartened, gave Shehbaz additional tasks as punishment and accused him of spoiling the prank by revealing it early.
Zeishan Stands Up for Shehbaz
Zeishan Quadri, however, defended Shehbaz, saying that more serious things had happened in previous seasons without leading to boycotts, labeling the response excessive.
