Celebrity MasterChef is a favorite show now, and people are keenly watching famous celebrities display their culinary skills. Although the show has not experienced the best TRPs, it has definitely created a lot of hype on social media. It is hosted by Farah Khan and includes the first season participants such as Tejasswi Prakash, Dipika Kakar, Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, and others. As the finale week starts, it is getting more competitive, and Gaurav, Nikki, Tejasswi, Faisu, and Rajiv are the top five finalists.
The New Challenge: Shadras Platter
In a recent challenge, Chef Rahul Rana added a special challenge that saw the contestants replicating his intricate dish, Shadras, a platter that had six different dishes and 22 components. The contestants were allowed 150 minutes to execute the challenge, and the stakes were high. Gaurav Khanna, who had emerged victorious in the last two challenges, was gunning for a hat trick but had an extra challenge because of his color blindness.

Gaurav’s Struggle with Plating
The task, which entailed detailed plating in multiple colors, was a tough challenge for Gaurav. Being a colorblind participant, he found it difficult to detect the colors used for garnishing, and hence there was an instance of frustration. He stated, “Jab main plating karne par aaya. as a colour blind guy, aaj ki dish mein vakayi mein woh ek disadvantage mehsus hua mereko.” Chef Ranveer Brar and Rajiv Adatia helped him out with the color coordination to finish his dish. While Gaurav’s dish was the second best, Faisu won the challenge and got an advantage in the upcoming task.
The Road to the Finale
As the finale week begins, the competition for the winner’s title is heating up. Every contestant is going that extra mile in an attempt to clinch the highly sought title of Celebrity MasterChef champion.
