Actress Mannara Chopra, a cousin of Priyanka Chopra and Bigg Boss ex-contestant, has been very stoic in the face of personal tragedy. Almost a month after Priyanka Chopra’s cousin’s father, Raman Rai Handa, passed away, Mannara made a sincere comeback to the work routine and posted about her emotional experience on Instagram.
“Taking Small Steps Forward”
Mannara uploaded a series of inspiring selfies on Wednesday accompanied by an emotional note: “Taking small steps forward with strength, love, and purpose. Here’s to new light. Carry his strength.” She wore a bright tie-dye top and matching shades, exuding warmth and silent strength. The update was blessed with love from the fans and a special like from cousin Priyanka Chopra, indicating family support through these difficult times.
Only a few days ago, Mannara posted her first public reaction to her father’s death. She was deeply thankful, posting, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you’ve shown to me and my family during these tough times.” She further stated she was back at work, posting, “Resuming work now, with gratitude in my heart.”
A Tearful Goodbye
Mannara’s father died on June 16, 2025, in Mumbai. He was a practising lawyer at the Delhi High Court. Mannara and her sister Mitali Handa performed the last rites. In an official statement, she told, “He was the pillar of strength for our family.”

Although Priyanka Chopra Jonas couldn’t attend the funeral due to being overseas, she paid a heartfelt tribute via Instagram Stories: “You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy, Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.”
