The legendary superhero of the 90s, Shaktimaan, is making a grand comeback not on TV or the big screen, but through an audio series. After years of speculation about a Bollywood film adaptation, fans are now excited to hear that the character will return in a new original audio format, with none other than Mukesh Khanna reprising his iconic role.
The audio series will stream on Pocket FM, which recently shared a teaser video featuring Mukesh Khanna smiling as Shaktimaan. The video carried the message: “India waited for its superhero for 20 years. Now, he awakens again.” This nostalgic announcement has created a buzz online, with fans flooding the comments with heart and fire emojis. One user excitedly mentioned they couldn’t wait to hear the iconic phrase “Chhoti Chhoti Magar Moti Baatein” again.
Mukesh Khanna, who became a household name as Shaktimaan, will lend his voice to the superhero once more, bringing the character to life through sound. This marks a new chapter for the franchise, reaching out to a digital audience through immersive storytelling.
For those unfamiliar, Shaktimaan was a hugely popular superhero TV series that aired on Doordarshan from 1997 to 2005. It became a cultural phenomenon, especially among children. The franchise later expanded with Shaktimaan: The Animated Series in 2011 and the TV film Hamara Hero Shaktimaan in 2013.
