Actor-comedian Munawar Faruqui is all set to take on hosting duties for an upcoming reality show titled The Society, co-hosted by Shreya Kalra. Ahead of its launch, the makers held a special media event where Munawar candidly spoke about his career, personal journey, and the intriguing concept of the show.
“Gratitude is My Constant,” Says Munawar
During the media interaction, Munawar was asked about how he copes with life’s highs and lows. Reflecting on his journey, he said, “I’m always grateful. One must never assume that anything is permanent not happiness, not sadness. When you start believing something is forever, you lose faith. Balance comes when you accept everything is temporary.” His grounded response resonated with many, highlighting his maturity and perspective on life.
Inside the World of ‘The Society’
The Society introduces a unique format where 25 participants are divided into three distinct social classes — Royals, Regulars, and Rags. Each class comes with different levels of luxury and power. While the Royals live in comfort, the Regulars operate with limited means, and the Rags face the toughest conditions. The challenge lies not just in survival, but in navigating shifting power dynamics, social hierarchies, and emotional tests.

Speaking about the concept, Munawar explained, “This show is a reflection of real life unpredictable and raw. Titles flip, power changes hands, and relationships are tested. What matters most is never giving up. Because in society, dikhta kuch aur hai, hota kuch aur.”
