Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta, who became popular after their onscreen jodi of Tejo and Fateh in the TV series Udaariyaan, have allegedly broken up. Their onscreen jodi was an instant hit, and their chemistry only intensified while they were on Bigg Boss 16, where they stood by each other and later became romantically involved. Their die-hard fans even gave them the moniker Priyankit.
After the show, the couple was frequently spotted together—sharing birthdays, holidays, and cozy time. That being said, fans were recently left stunned after both actors dropped each other on social media, leaving signs of trouble in their paradise. It wasn’t long after that journalist Vickey Lalwani penned a report citing that the pair had a tumultuous breakup and Priyanka stormed out of their house enraged.
Further adding fuel to speculations, the two were seen at an event but decided to totally ignore one another. In the midst of endless rumors, Priyanka has now finally spoken out. Posting on her Instagram stories, she vented about how much attention was now being paid to her personal life. She wrote, “If only work received the same kind of attention as private issues, this industry would be unstoppable.”
The split has also had some professional repercussions. The two were supposed to be coming back together on a show being produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta, but Ankit has since confirmed leaving the project after the split.
Though Ankit was last seen in Junooniyat, Priyanka has been making the headlines about her reported casting for Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 7, but has since refuted the reports. The fans of the two actors are still praying for a resolution to the on-going drama.
