One of India’s most-watched reality shows, Bigg Boss, is all set to return with its highly anticipated 19th season. Hosted once again by Salman Khan, the new season promises major changes in theme, format, and viewer experience. Bigg Boss 19 is expected to premiere on August 30, 2025, exclusively on JioHotstar.
AI to Play Key Role in Bigg Boss 19
While earlier reports hinted at a “rewind” theme, the latest updates from Indian Express confirm that Artificial Intelligence will be central to the upcoming season. The show’s creators plan to introduce a series of new twists, with AI influencing key elements inside the house.
One of the biggest changes this season is in the elimination process. Unlike previous seasons where viewers or Bigg Boss made the final call, contestants will now decide who gets evicted. From selecting tasks and distributing rations to voting out fellow housemates, contestants will take on more authority, making this season highly unpredictable. A source quoted in Indian Express revealed that the show will shift from “Bigg Boss chahte hai” to “Bigg Boss janna chahte hai,” signaling a more interactive and inquisitive approach.

Contestants and House Design
So far, around 45 celebrities have reportedly been approached. Notable names include Rati Pandey, Hunar Hali, Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), Mr. Faisu, Dhanashree Verma, Sreeram Chandra, Meera Deosthale, and Bhavika Sharma. Though there were talks of including a UAE-based robot named Habubu, sources now say the robot might not be part of the final lineup.
