The room roars with laughter and the city starts buzzing with praise as Aakash Mehta performs 3 shows back-to-back at the launch of Central India’s First comedy club “Bouffage comedy club”
Since the day of its inception Bouffage has been hosting comedians from all over the country the OG Bouffage has been the talk of the Indian comedy circuit as one of the best venues to perform at. Bouffage decided to take the game to a whole new level.

The new club fashions a low ceiling and acoustic features that are perfect for stand-up comedy events and has special seating to give a full comedy club experience.
Since 2017 Bouffage has hosted 150 shows. With the new club hosting 5 shows every month. “We started doing one show a month as a fun activity, but soon the comedy shows became our identity in the city. It’s fun to host so many artists. I have lost the count,” says the owner Anshul Jaiswal.

The club also has a dedicated video and sound team for Comics to tap their shows to release on YouTube. “The idea is to make recording videos accessible to comics from all the cities,” says Yashwardhan Choudhary, Chief Laughter officer at Bouffage Comedy Club.

Bouffage has hosted over 40+ comics doing multiple shows with comics like Manik Mahna, Aakash Gupta, Sumaira Shaikh, Punit Pania, Kunal Rao, Sorabh Pant, Rivaldo, Sumit Anand, Nishant Suri, Devesh Dixit, Pratyush Chaubey, Munawar Faruqui, Nishant Tanwar, Aakash Mehta, Daniel Fernandes, Md Suhel and the list goes on.

“Nagpur has always been my favorite city to perform at. And this new club has made Nagpur a must-visit city for all the comics in the country” says Aakash Mehta who is one of the most frequent performers at the club and released 3 youtube videos that he recorded at the inaugural show.
Another well-known comic Daniel Fernandes said, “It’s one of the finest clubs I have ever performed at. It’s good for the scene in general, and for me this club is a benchmark to compare other venues with.”

While the shows of well-known Comics line up the venue, it acts as a platform for local comics too to showcase their art form as they get to perform the opening act for the featured artist in front of a bigger, fresher audience. “We made this club for the scene. The audience gets the experience of a great show and so does the comic,” says Dewansh Jaiswal.

With the club up and running, a lot of comics are visiting the city to perform here every month and are getting a newer audience every time. “When we started producing shows back in 2017, we were hardly doing 1-2 shows a month. Now with the club, we are doing 5-7 shows every month and the number keeps increasing every month. We are planning something huge in the coming future that will be the most amazing thing for the stand-up scene of the city,” says Yaswardhan Choudhary not giving away the big reveal.
